You cannot be lonely if you like the person you're alone with.
― Wayne W. Dyer
With less than 12 hours to go to the last New Moon of 2017, it’s the perfect time to do some meditation on everything we would like to let go of and clear, so that we can plant the seeds for new beginnings. As our blogs have focused a lot on ‘letting go’ in relationship issues over the past week, today I’m going to give some consideration to what it means to plant new seeds in our relationships with this Sagittarius New Moon.
New starts always begin with our thought patterns and with Mercury Retrograde we have been doing a lot of revisiting of old thought patterns. This will continue until Dec 22nd! However, the New Moon energy can help us to begin to imagine some new expansive ways of being in our relationships. These thoughts are likely to be somewhat fleeting at this stage, but can become more solid when Saturn moves into Capricorn at Solstice. The key point to focus on with this New Moon is on ways to expand our sense of self-value. It’s worth asking ourselves: Where do we feel limited and/or restricted within ourselves? How does this manifest in our relationships? Do we believe we deserve to be in an equal loving partnership? Do we surround ourselves with friends who are on a similar wavelength and who help us grow and expand? Is our family restrictive or expansive? What holds us back right now?
This New Moon also invites us to consider our relationship with whatever is beyond us, be it spiritual, religious, philosophical…This is particularly important, as a conscious connection with the greater beyond, can help alleviate the sense of existential loneliness that may arise to a greater or lesser degree with the square to Chiron by this New Moon. The reality is that we are never ever alone!
