The day of the Sun/Venus conjunction is finally here and what a simple and easy aspect it would be for Relationships, if Pluto were not sitting right next to it! Not to mention of course that Uranus is still squaring the stellium, even though it’s a 6’ orb!
Many of us have been feeling the intensity building up all weekend. Now it is likely to feel like ‘make or break time’. However that can mean a lot of different things for each of us in our relationships with our partner/spouse, family, friends and work colleagues.
‘Breaking’ something means a separation, which in and of itself can lead to a new way of re-connecting to the same person or new people in our life. Within the process of dissolving something, the seeds of something new are being simultaneously sown.
The breaking may be with aspects of our family of origin, as a part of our adult journey of separation and individuation. Or it may be with aspects of ourselves that are furthering us away from others in relationships, rather than bringing us closer – maybe parts of us that are critical, or controlling, or judgmental as a protection from being vulnerable and communicating openly with loved ones. We may be separating from addictions to substances, or overworking, or dysfunctional patterns in relationships. The breaking may be from fears that have held us back from starting a new loving relationship and/or kept us in limiting restricting controlling ones.
The very act of ‘breaking,’ is in itself a ‘making’ – the making of a new functional relationship with our family of origin within ourselves, the making of relationships based on love, compassion, open honest communication and vulnerability. The making of a balanced life, with time to spend with the people we love. The making of a life based on a conscious awareness of ourselves and the courage to communicate and commit in a consistent manner to those we care about. The making of relationships that are based on heartfelt joy rather than mutual pain. The making of loving connections free from the desperation of addictions.
So what are you choosing to ‘break and make’ today? If in doubt – check as always with your heart! MG
