The Full Moon on October 24th is closely conjunct explosive Uranus, and opposed to retrograde Venus. It looks to be a very dynamic time in relationships!
While the Full Moon energy will be very high on Wednesday, the overall energetic vibe is one that is already pretty well established by midweek. The Aries Moon began heating things up on Sunday evening, and the Sun/Uranus opposition was exact on Tuesday.
And although Wednesday is a kind of peak in the energy, the Sun’s meeting with retrograde Venus on Friday and the Venus/Uranus opposition on October 31st promise to keep things bubbling for the rest of October.
So, what does it all mean in our relationships? It depends where you (think you) are in your partnerships. Here are a few likely scenarios - general outlines to color in with your own experiences…
First, with Venus retrograde we’ve been considering what our relationships are all about. What we really want and need in our partnerships. That internal process is likely to result in a few ‘Aha!’ moments during the last week in October, as we realize what we want and need, and perhaps where we’ve made better and poorer decisions.
For those in a rocky relationship, this could be a tipping point. It’s anyone’s guess whether that means saying goodbye or deciding to come closer together - but be aware that with Venus retrograde even the most decisive stance is subject to revision over the next six to eight weeks.
More stable partnerships will probably feel a much less powerful vibration. There could be a need for each partner to take some time on their own, so give (and take) space as needed. It’s also a good time to disrupt relationship patterns. Try something new, vary routines, and break out of relationship habits.
Single folks face challenges with Venus retrograde, as the inward-flowing energy isn’t great for reaching out and creating new partnerships. Yet the temptation to give it a try may be very strong over the period between the full moon and the end of the month. A valuable learning experience is implied, even if a long-term relationship proves elusive (and it won’t necessarily fall flat, either - there are exceptions to every rule!).
Finally, those folks who are getting back with, or getting back in touch with, old lovers may find this is the most energized time in the entire Venus retrograde period. You’re likely to see the best and worst, the most hopeful and doubtful, sides of your past relationship and partner. Once again, accept that it could be some time before you really know what you want and what you can have, so keep some of your awareness aside as a kind of ‘experimenter’ who’s watching to see what happens, even as you go ‘all in’ with the experience.
