Resolving the old to move into the new...
In many places around the world, this weekend is about celebrating Passover and Easter. Both feasts celebrate a freedom of sorts, the potential for something new, a rebirth. Regardless of whether we pay heed to religious traditions of any kind, because the collective is imbibed with these ancient rituals, they inevitably filter down to our psyche in some form or other. Ideally they offer us a sense of hope, which resonates in our relationships, opening up the possibility of making a new start in current relationships, or initiating new ones.
However, there are some challenges that we may need to face first. The Mars/Saturn conjunction that has been building for the past week (see my blog: https://www.relationshipsandastrology.com/…/the-planetary-o…) is now exact and is still squared by the Sun/Mercury Retrograde conjunction. Despite our desire to start something new, we first have to resolve past issues in our relationships. Using the energy of Mercury Retrograde we can ideally re-view past patterns in our relationships, starting back in our childhood.
Some questions that may be helpful to consider today:
How did you relate to your siblings, if you had any and if not, how did you relate to your cousins and close friends? What was the main model of relationship that you experienced in your home of origin? How many of those patterns have you re-created in your adult relationships – intimate relationships, friendships, work relationships…Which ones work for you and which ones are unhelpful? (No judgement ever – just curiosity!) What might be helpful to do to create new relationship models? Which couples do you know who seem to have a loving, creative, growth enhancing relationship? Have you talked to them about what they have done to create and maintain their relationship?
Mars/Saturn reminds us that there is work involved in anything we do. Despite the fairy tales that were probably read to us as children, good relationships can only be maintained by consistently working on ourselves and on our relationships.
Before the Libra Moon moves into passionate Scorpio later this evening (GMT), it will make a quincunx to Chiron at 29’ Pisces, opening up the possibility for some emotional healing to do with relationship issues. As the Moon moves into Scorpio, our passions are likely to awaken pretty powerfully particularly when it opposes Venus in the early hours of the morning (GMT)/late evening (EST).
For those who are celebrating the holidays with Easter eggs, they do say that chocolate replicates the feeling of being in love…😉 MG
