With a solar eclipse in the protective sign of Cancer and Mercury stationing to retrograde, this is likely to be a pretty intense week - although we may internalize the tension more than pushing forward with it, at least early in the week.
We may not be directly focused on relationships this week, as we are pulled towards concerns around home, safety, and family. Yet of course our concerns about these things can ripple forth into our partnerships. For example, if you are concerned about finances, it may be harder to let yourself go and enjoy your time with your partner.
Mars moves into Leo on Monday, a significant change for relationships. Mars in Leo has a bolder, more dramatic approach to sexuality, and in this area of life it should be easier to make progress than in the past six weeks. Wait until the Moon goes into Leo from late Wednesday to Friday to try to get sparks to catch fire.
The big event for relationships this week is Venus’ move into Cancer on Wednesday. In the sign of the crab, Venus encourages a more traditional approach to relationship. For the next few weeks, we’re likely to be more focused on established partnerships, and are at least a bit more likely to evaluate prospective partners in terms of their long-term potential.
Before Venus moves into Cancer, however, she does emphasize the lighter, sociable side of Gemini, so that we may feel more playful at the beginning of the week, or as playful as possible with the eclipse energy. With the Gemini Moon meeting Venus on Monday, it could be a good evening to get out and socialize.
As we approach the weekend, we have a void Leo Moon on Friday night - potentially fun, although not great for first dates. The rest of the weekend has the Moon in Virgo, so a more reserved attitude may prevail. It’s time to cook a healthy meals together, maybe go for a hike, and generally recharge for the week ahead.
