Relationships & Astrology - Some Holiday Self-Care Tips!

1. Holidays inevitably trigger past experiences of prior holidays – all the way back to childhood…Creating some alone time amidst the hustle and bustle, gives you time to process and separate the present from the past, and for your Moon to sit with whatever emotions are surfacing.

If your Mercury likes to write, journaling can really help at this time. If it prefers to chat, pre-arrange to call a good friend, even if it’s just to hear their voice. Remember that your loved ones are also being triggered…

2. Holidays can be busy times, and can easily create a distraction from relationship issues, or exacerbate them. Creating some peaceful time to ‘just be’ with your significant other, can help you both ground and connect, amidst all the 'doing'.

Depending on the nature of your individual and composite charts, you might do this via - a walk together by the sea or in a park, sitting together listening to music, massaging each other’s shoulders, holding hands watching a favorite movie, dancing in your kitchen, or maybe playing a board game together…Remember that Fire loves action, Earth needs physical connection, Air needs communication, and Water needs emotional empathy!

3. Holidays alone can be lonely, or embraced as a chance to recuperate and rejuvenate in total freedom. What feels comforting for your Moon during this time? How can you create that for yourself?

What might be a new adventure for your Moon in Fire, maybe take a trip somewhere you have never been? Can you spend some time in nature with your Moon in Earth and cook a meal with all your favorite foods? Is there someone you’d like to Zoom with or call, with your Moon in Air, or some books you finally have time to read? Can you be by water, soak in a candlelit bath, or connect even briefly with a loved one, with your Moon in Water?

4. If your family dynamics feel challenging over the holidays, use astrology to help you understand the people around you, so that you become a neutral ‘observer’, rather than enmeshed in the actual dynamics.

Even a basic knowledge of their Sun and Moon Signs, can help you step briefly into the shoes of your loved ones for a moment, often enabling compassion to replace frustration. Most people are doing their best with who they are and the ways they have learned to protect ourselves over a lifetime.

5. Humor is essential, and every Sign has its perfect version of humor! Build up a small resource library of short videos and images that make you roar laughing, as well as funny incidents that you and your loved ones share together! Watch them together and talk about them when stress starts building!

Wishing you all a peaceful, safe and nurturing holiday season. With much gratitude to all of you for supporting our posts and our courses as we continue to expand into 2022! MG – on behalf of the R & A team – Yvonne, Kay, Rachel & Armand
